Buying a Bluetooth speaker? Here are some things you should keep in mind

There are plenty of good Bluetooth speakers on the market.  When you are looking for a speaker, you may think which Bluetooth speaker you should buy.  Well, it depends on your needs. In this article, we will write a guide about how to buy a Bluetooth speaker, what things you should consider when you choose one.

1. Sound quality

The main function of a speaker is play music, so the most important thing what you expect from a Bluetooth speaker is definitely the good sound quality.  The sound quality of small speakers cannot compete with large ones because of these physical limitations. But for most users, small speakers for smartphones are enough to meet the needs of music listening experience.  When you buy the speakers, you can test the sound by yourself.  The most common is the distortion, which means that the speaker reaches its limits during some songs and it cannot handle too high or low frequencies, so it starts playing a distorted sound.  It doesn’t happen by all songs, it is worth to try out the speaker with different tracks. And it is worth to choose ones with deep basslines and heavy vocals which push the speakers to its limits.  If you think the speaker is good, that’s the good sound quality speaker for you.   

2. Battery life

Apart from the sound quality, battery life is also an important element to consider. You have to keep in mind that volume heavily affects battery life. A moderate volume level the speakers provide around 3-5 hour playtime, while the average can play music for around 5-10 hours. A speaker with a good battery life has around 8-15 hours playtime. The charging time is around 2-5 hour and it depends on the output of the charger. If you want to take a speaker anywhere you want, the small and medium-sized metal speakers are the best for you.

4. Extra features.

Checking the extra features, the most popular one is the built-in microphone, which you can find in almost every Bluetooth speaker. IPX7 speakers can be immersed in 1-meter deep water for 30 minutes.
