Buying a Bluetooth speaker? Here are some things you should keep in mind

There are plenty of good Bluetooth speakers on the market. When you are looking for a speaker, you may think which Bluetooth speaker you should buy. Well, it depends on your needs. In this article, we will write a guide about how to buy a Bluetooth speaker, what things you should consider when you choose one.
This is not the best speaker guide. I just want to share some experiences I know here.
1. Sound quality

The main function of a speaker is play music, so the most important thing what you expect from a Bluetooth speaker is definitely the good sound quality. The sound quality of small speakers cannot compete with large ones because of these physical limitations. But for most users, small speakers for smartphones are enough to meet the needs of music listening experience. When you buy the speakers, you can test the sound by yourself. The most common is the distortion, which means that the speaker reaches its limits during some songs and it cannot handle too high or low frequencies, so it starts playing a distorted sound. It doesn’t happen by all songs, it is worth to try out the speaker with different tracks. And it is worth to choose ones with deep basslines and heavy vocals which push the speakers to its limits. If you think the speaker is good, that’s the good sound quality speaker for you.
2. Battery life

Apart from the sound quality, battery life is also an important element to consider. You have to keep in mind that volume heavily affects battery life. A moderate volume level the speakers provide around 3-5 hour playtime, while the average can play music for around 5-10 hours. A speaker with a good battery life has around 8-15 hours playtime. The charging time is around 2-5 hour and it depends on the output of the charger. To achieve the ideal playback time, the battery capacity is generally above 1000mah. Leaglee GT01 speaker’s battery is 1000mah and it can play for 6 hours continuously. The standby time is 14 days when it is not being used, which has a good battery life for you.
3. Material quality

For material quality, it depends on your needs. Most the speakers use plywood, wooden, plastic and metal material. Some branded speaker suppliers putting a lot of work into improving their speakers by coating outer case with a waterproof coating or using some high-grade decoration, such as leather. The best material for the speaker is the wooden material, which makes timber more full and pure. But as the wooden material has its size limited, most wooden speakers are large. If you use the speaker in a larger place or you want a sound at home, then you can buy a larger wooden speaker. If you want to take a speaker anywhere you want, the small and medium-sized metal speakers are the best for you.
4. Extra features.

Checking the extra features, the most popular one is the built-in microphone, which you can find in almost every Bluetooth speaker. You can also find FM radio on some speakers, so you can turn on the radio if you don’t want to listen to your favorite music, which looks cool for me. To make the connection and the pairing process easier, some speakers feature an NFC chip, which enables two devices to wirelessly communicate by simply touching them together. Leaglee GT01 has some features such as FM, and flashlight. No matter how many extra features the speakers have, choose the right one according to your needs.
5. Price

As with any other products, the price of the Bluetooth speakers varies a lot and while there is a correlation between the price and the quality, it is not always the case. There are some bad speakers with high price tags, but there are some cheap ones with good quality that may satisfy you. The cheapest Bluetooth speakers are available from around 10-20 dollars. The price between $40-50 you can find much better devices. Some branded speakers are mostly between $100-200. Anyway, my recommendation is that you can choose Leaglee GT01. The price is $19.9 and the sound quality can compete with most of the same price or even higher price speakers. Leaglee engineering team puts effort into the product quality. They invited 20 speaker experts to solve speaker problems and make the sound better. You can also enjoy high quality at a lower price. Leaglee makes music sound the way it should so you can listen to the way you want.
6. Durable speakers

If you are looking for an outdoor speaker, the element you need to choose is something rugged with waterproof. In this case, you should choose the speaker is covered by fabric or rubberized plastic. The outdoor speakers are often used by a pool, a beach, a park, or even hiking, so it is important to choose one which has water protection such as IPX7. IP code, the international protection ranking, the highest number is the better. The first digit number means the level of dust protection. The second digit number is water protection. If the speaker is not certified for dust then it is replaced by an “X”. So IPX5, IPX6 only for the splashing water, you cannot immerse it to the water. IPX7 speakers can be immersed in 1-meter deep water for 30 minutes.
